HOW YOUR DATA IS COLLECTED FOR ONLINE ADVERTISEMENT | HOW MICRO ADVERTISEMENT WORK

How do you earn online? One of the easy ways is to display ads to your user and make money of it.But how do get the knowledge of what a user specifically wants? Let's find out.

Internet is a open place for the user, so when a user uses it, the data from the net gets converted to information which then is used to deliver you ads.Afterall, internet is free for all and when you are not paying for that product, then you are the product. The following are the sources by which the data is collected.

DATA FROM BROWSING HISTORY :  Once when I searched for a headphone on amazon, its                advertisement appeared when I opened my wallpaper app because it had my browsing data.
On one occasion I was checking various universities which offered a masters degree in Australia on my laptop, and when I launched YouTube app on my phone, the first ad I received was of university of Queensland. The fact that I was logged in with the same ID on my phone was a hint for Google to give that ad.Even when my location was turned off, It proactively tracked me as I was having dinner in a hotel and asked me to review It when I reached home.

DATA FROM CAMERA : It's obvious that Google wants you to stay at there platform as long as possible, so when I showed a app named nandoo to my friend, it popped in his "recommended list" in play store even though his phone was in his pocket the entire time. Here my camera's data was taken as an input to suggest it to my friend's phone.

DATA FROM SEARCHES : Online food delivery companies gives you discounts all the time, but how exactly do they cope up with that loss? They sell your data as well.
I was searching for ice cream shops near Banjara Hills on zomato, but couldn't find thing special so I continued my studies and it took less than two minutes for Dunkin Donuts to send me a text message, which provided me with a coupon to get 20% off on my purchase. Now how in the world did DD got to know that I was craving for something sweet? It's because it paid Zomato a amount for which he'll provide the data of the user's which had a hunger for something suggery.

DATA FROM CALLS : A friend of mine was talking with his brother about different ideas of sofa sets on call and suddenly an ad of a sofa seller came on his Fb feed. The surprising face is that later on his brother tagged him in a picture of the same vendor that he initially saw.

In conclusion, All these experiences weren't some wizardry magic. All these are well thought plans to specifically target audience to display precisely the advertisement they wanted to see.

WHY SAMSUNG GALAXY S10 WONT BE SUCCESSFUL

Samsung is out with there latest galaxy device and even though Samsung are proud of there offering, it won't be as successful as it's predecessors
The following are the some of the reasons why I think the same.

 1. MARKET SATURATION : There is no denail that smartphones sales are decreasing. Since 2017, there is a constant decline in the percentage of units sold in the world. Customers buying a phone aren't upgrading it as there current device is more than enough to serve well for 2-3 years. The S10 line up doesn't bring anything outstanding to distinguish from others, yes the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner hidden beneath the glass is something new and the reverse wireless charging is a cool way to surprise your friends, but none of them are ground breaking to turn the customers head. Some if them argue that the galaxy fold and S10 5G version might be a step towards innovation, but later I'll explain why that won't be thrilling this year.

2. PRICES : When a customer pays a over ₹50,000 on his Smartphone, he expects it to last atleast 2 years without any major problems, so when a manufacturer charges more for his phone, it's natural that it won't sell much and same is the case with all the S10's which start at minimum of ₹50,000 and the plus varient costs ₹73,000 ( mind it these are only the base prices ). So until they bring down the price, it's hard for them to compell to the market.

3. 1st GEN MODELS : As stated above , the galaxy fold and the new 5G model was something Samsung was very excited to introduce, but if you ask me they have to go a long way to make it to the pockets of people
First let's start with the 5G, as enticing it may sound, it's still not ready for prime time. None of the carrier supports 5G and no matter how fast they try to adopt the market, the time they will be ready for complete use it will already be time for the next NOTE product So the 5G model still looks like a distant dream for the world. As for the foldable phone , it's durability is a thing which has a lot of people rolling there eyes as no one knows how that plastic screen would age as the time passes

Overall it looks like the phone will not sell like hotcakes like it's predecessors did but time will say.

How to make a photo better | Smartphone HDR explained

Whenever you open your camera , you've probably come across a term named HDR , but what exactly does it do and how does it do that ? Read further to find more.

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range . It tries to make a balance between highly bright side against the lower bright side of the photo. Sometimes the photos tends to get over exposed in one region and under exposed at another , HDR tried to solve this problem by taking not just one photo, but three of them and stitching them together.

The first photo is your regular photo you've taken, the second one increase the exposure value to the maximum and the third one reduces it to the minimum. Then with the help of software tricks it combines them together to produce a photo which preserves the details which was blown away by the over exposed region and brings light to the under exposed areas.

In the first image, the shadows are a little washed out and the image looks dull. But when HDR is enabled (the second image) , the image is brighter and shows off the seperation of individual leaves better.

But there are some drawbacks using an HDR processed image
1. As the camera processes three images at a time , it takes a while to process them and produce a output (couple of seconds more than your regular photo)
2. As the image takes so much time to process , the resulting image might be blurry and loose the information due to handshake
3. HDR is mostly a software enabled feature , so there needs to be a lot computation to be applied . Most of the times the software might not end up giving the desired result as the photographer wants.

At the end , if you are a snapchat'er or any social media uploader who wants the best from your smartphone sensor and who is willing to have steady hands for a while , this feature is really handy .On the other hand ,if you are the kind of person who wants to edit there photos on a professional software , there are many alternatives than this toggle.

How apple can increase their Iphone sales

The name apple has been synonymous with a brand of value and luxury , as a company known to have a fan base unlike any other. But that prestigious mark has been constantly sinking down the well as the sales of their latest Iphone's has been on a decline. From a very small upgrade to the last year Iphone X to an under whelming response of XR , there is no denial that the company is on a downfall and is in a state of urgency to get back into their business game, but what could they possibly do to increase there sales number back ? The following are the possible things.

The key factor that made Iphone what it is today is the differentiating factor it made back in 2007, It was a revolutionary device which made real innovation and brought changes to the way we look at smartphones today. If apple is able to recreate the same magic again , It just might be the turning point for them. But the advancements of tech in the smartphone space in the recent time has made ground breaking innovation difficult and hard for any company to truly WOW their audience. So this idea of revolutionizing the tech industry at this point seems a little weak.
One of the easy way for apple to get more sales is obviously to reduce the price of there offerings. Its just logical that any person who paid a grand for Iphone X would not want to upgrade to XS , realizing that he is basically getting the same product again unless he can shell out less cash than he did before. The Iphone 7 costs $549 today , which is only a $100 discount compared to it's original price (considering that it is 2 years old now).

But its just not about the phone which leads it to the failure, it's also the things that surrounds it. Take the charger for example, the Iphones has the slowest charger around (coming in at only 5W compared to note 9's , which is  18 W) You want a faster top up, that will be 50$ , OH and don't forget the 19$ cable. This is the company , that more than any other is responsible for the omission of the headphone jack.Till now it provided a dongle in the box, but not anymore with the XS , that will be 9$.Where every major android manufacturer is standardising around USB-C , apple stubbornly sticks with its lightning cable. These are all the small the details which surround your life with the phone , yet apple is happy charging you more for all basic things. Until the company addresses these day to day problems of people , its really hard for the cupertino giant to make up for there decreasing figures.

Some less crucial, but important points include

a. Building an online community to hear from the people for what they want
b. Better exchange deals
c.  More color options
d. Add a SD card support for expansion of storage
e. Include some goodies such as wireless charging pad in the box itself.

There are million more ways apple can make a return but hopefully these things gave you a little idea of what could some of them be.

Why US banned Huawei?

HUAWEI ,the second largest Smartphone manufacturing company in the world has made a name for himself for making one of the finest smartphones in the industry ,but still the company struggles to make a commendable leap in the United States of America as its phones are banned there , but why ? Well if you are as curious as we are ,then consider reading future. The following could be the reasons USA is not allowing huawei onto their soil.

Huawei is not only the second second largest Smartphone manufacturer but also the number one telecommunication company in the world , their technologies are used in almost all the major towers in the world. So there is no denial that they have a lot of information which is received from their towers which is a scaring factor for US , who does not want their users data to be given to a Chinese group , so they ordered to ban all the telecommunication part of Huawei in USA ( even though there hasn't been any one case in which Huawei was being convicted for any data manipulation act) , but the main reason trump governament doesn't want to allow Huawei for getting into their region is the development of 5G . Huawei has been working on 5G Technology since a very long time and had made more progress than any of the US company ever made , which bothers the states as 5G technology is going to be the next big thing in telecom business.

The other big reason has to be  the political issues which has developed between USA and china . 70% of Huawei brand is owned by Chinese government and the USA's president,  Donald Trump clearly doesn't like it and so he ordered all the government officials to stop using any chinese phone and insisted that the american companies should manufacture their smartphones in America only ( He even personally invited Tim Cook and said him about this matter ). The CIA and FBI informed US citizens not to use any Chinese smartphone as it might hurt their privacy.
Overall , in conclusion their is no denial that American government doesn't want Huawei to enter their territory as it might hurt not only their privacy but also their legacy of being the market leaders.
